The curriculum encompasses: • All engineering fields • Technology and Engineering Management • Computer and Information Sciences • Environmental and Materials ScienceProgram HighlightsThe Engineering Department currently has approximately 50 research faculty members, specializing in diverse areas such as communication & information engineering; design & mechatronics; materials, manufacturing & systems; signals & control; computational engineering; and data-centric engineering.The Informatics Department boasts over 70 research-active academics, covering specialties like software engineering, systems architecture, programming languages, AI, machine learning, data science, computational finance, cybersecurity, quantum computing, human-computer interaction, design ethics, and computer science education.Both departments maintain dynamic PhD programs that enable students to participate in various educational and research initiatives, from professional development workshops to specialized seminars and study groups. PhD candidates are integrated into departmental research groups, actively contributing to their projects and activities.Students also benefit from the newly established NMES Graduate School, which enhances postgraduate training, strengthens the research community, and cultivates academic belonging.
