Our MSc in Environmental Science for Sustainability is a skill-focused program designed to equip you with practical and technical expertise highly valued in environmental science and sustainability fields. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations in environmental science with hands-on training in environmental impact assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and technical skills for gathering, processing, and interpreting environmental data through computer, field, and laboratory work.
As you progress through the program, you'll gain expertise in tracking and simulating how environmental processes and changes affect sustainability across terrestrial, aquatic, atmospheric, and biological systems.
You'll acquire hands-on and analytical capabilities that can be directly applied to environmental data collection, modeling, visualization, and solving real-world environmental challenges stemming from various human activities.

Qualification Requirements
2:1 degree with preference given to geography, natural sciences (such as environmental science, physics, chemistry and biology) and engineering subjects. Candidates who do not achieve a 2:1 but have professional or voluntary experience will also be considered. The Admissions Office will process these applications with support from the Admissions Tutor. In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. Overseas students will be required to demonstrate IELTS of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill. TOEFL IBT 100 overall with a minimum of 25 in writing and 23  in each of the other skills.
