Our research hubs include: the Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution, Centre for Climate Law and Governance, Centre of European Law, Global Investor Stewardship, Centre for International Governance and Dispute Resolution (CIGAD), Centre of Medical Law and Ethics, the Centre for Technology, Ethics, Law and Society (TELOS), Transnational Law Institute (TLI), and The Yeoh Tiong Lay Centre for Politics, Philosophy and Law (YTL). Our diverse PhD community, representing various global regions, explores subjects spanning copyright law to digital innovation, antitrust regulations to opposing statutes, and universal fairness to women's rights. We accept new students exclusively in October each year, with no January admissions currently available. Prospective candidates must secure commitment from a potential primary supervisor within our faculty before applying. Applications lacking confirmed supervision arrangements will not be reviewed. Consult our faculty directory to locate suitable academic specialists. IMPORTANT: Visiting faculty cannot serve as supervisors. Ensure you obtain explicit support from your proposed supervisor before applying, as applications submitted without this confirmation may be declined. While most research students enroll full-time, we may consider part-time study in special cases. To request part-time status, select the full-time option during application and be ready to justify your request during the interview process.
