The School of Law hosts some of the UK's foremost experts in family and child law, specializing in key areas including:

children's economic and social rights
protecting at-risk youth
both international and domestic child trafficking issues
marital dissolution and family dynamics
Faculty members actively participate in the cross-disciplinary Children and Childhood Network.

Professor Aoife Nolan heads this Network as Academic Lead, uniting scholarship on childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. Dr Ezra Hasson and Professor Ralph Sandland also contribute to the Network.

These scholars frequently provide specialized counsel to governmental bodies and international organizations including the Metropolitan Police, United Nations, and Council of Europe
