Graduates pursue advanced research or enter diverse fields including education, media, finance, government, and cultural industries.Program highlightsThe Classical Art & Archaeology MA investigates how ancient civilizations interacted with their visual and material surroundings. Students analyze archaeological artifacts, artistic creations, and the craftsmanship behind historically important works. While traditionally centered on Greek and Italian art history, classical archaeology has expanded its scope geographically, temporally, and theoretically. King's reflects this diversity, with faculty expertise spanning the Bronze Age Aegean, Late Antique and Byzantine archaeology, Roman borderlands, Persian architecture, Greek ceramics and statuary, Roman floor mosaics, and ancient inscriptions. Numerous faculty members integrate art historical and archaeological approaches in their research.
