Doctoral research opportunities exist in Applied and Pure Mathematics, along with Statistics. The Applied Mathematics research spans diverse fields such as fluid dynamics, solid mechanics, biomechanics, and biomedical engineering, with applications in industry and healthcare. Overview The Mathematics Research Center conducts globally recognized research across applied mathematics, pure mathematics, and statistical sciences. Our applied mathematics focus encompasses three primary areas: fluid dynamics and acoustics; solid mechanics; and biomechanics. A common thread in our research involves wave theory and stability in continuous media, which plays a crucial role in advancing mathematical techniques and interpreting natural phenomena. This research finds extensive applications across engineering, life sciences, and medical fields. Note: International students (classified as overseas for fee purposes) are typically required to enroll full-time under UK visa regulations, except for Distance Learning programs.
