Tailored for graduates from fields outside computing, the MSc in Computer Science serves as a conversion program, emphasizing essential skills and knowledge needed for careers in information system design and management.
This full-time program spans one year. For those seeking greater study flexibility, we provide entirely online part-time Computer Science options, including specializations in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The initial phase involves studying eight core modules (120 credits) across two semesters. These modules establish fundamental understanding of internet technologies, web applications, and enterprise data analytics systems while enhancing practical abilities for designing, developing, and evaluating distributed information systems and online enterprise applications.
The program's latter portion offers a choice between a conventional academic research project guided by faculty or an industry placement. Your academic advisor will help determine the most suitable option based on your performance in coursework. Both paths allow application of acquired knowledge and skills.
Note that industry placement availability depends on both your qualifications and suitable opportunities.
The MSc requires completion of 180 credits. Interim qualifications include: a Postgraduate Certificate for completing two modules (60 credits), and a Postgraduate Diploma for finishing all four taught modules (120 credits).
2:2 degree in any subject or demonstrated relevant professional qualifications or experience. IELTS: 6.5 with 5.5 in all components. TOEFL: 87 with 17 (writing), 17 (listening), 18 (reading) and 20 (speaking).
