The Institute for Computing System Architecture (ICSA) offers access to world-class academic resources and industry connections.

We host the UK's biggest community of PhD researchers in this discipline and maintain a Centre of Excellence in collaboration with ARM, the global leader in microprocessor IP. Additionally, we participate in the European Network of Excellence for High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation.

Qualification Requirements

A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, typically in an area of informatics, such as artificial intelligence, cognitive science or computer science. You should have experience in computer programming.

We may also consider a UK 2:1 honours degree or its international equivalent, in engineering, linguistics, mathematics, philosophy, physics or psychology.
IELTS Academic: total 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each component.
TOEFL-iBT (including Home Edition): total 92 with at least 20 in each component. We do not accept TOEFL MyBest Score to meet our English language requirements.
