Keele prioritizes fostering top-tier research capable of creating meaningful change in legal and policy domains. Core research strengths encompass Gender, Sexuality & Law along with Professional Ethics (PEAK - refer to Ethics section for specifics), while emerging research groups focus on Globalisation & International Law and Legal Education & Professional Practice. Beyond these clusters, scholarly work spans interdisciplinary themes such as healthcare law and bioethics, governance and regulation, plus globalisation and international development. Facilities Postgraduate researchers benefit from private office spaces equipped with IT resources and comprehensive access to the University Library's digital journal archives and databases. Law research students are invited to participate in ongoing research development programs and diverse academic events ranging from work-in-progress discussions to international conferences. The Centre for Law, Ethics and Society, which includes Law School faculty, has obtained ESRC funding for the Post-Graduate and Early Career Scholars' Network in Law, Gender, and Sexuality (PECANS).
