If you're passionate about designing, building, and operating aircraft, spacecraft, drones, launch systems, eco-friendly air transport, renewable energy solutions, performance vehicles, or sustainable ground transportation, our Aerospace Engineering program might be the perfect fit. This dynamic and evolving field explores critical areas including aerodynamics, flight dynamics, wind energy, propulsion systems, aerospace structures and materials, as well as space technology and robotics. The future of sustainable aviation, ground transportation, and high-performance vehicles like Formula 1 cars relies heavily on advancements in aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and innovative materials.
During your first year, you'll establish a solid grounding in core engineering principles covering fluid dynamics, design processes, material science, and mathematical modeling, while getting your first taste of aerospace engineering through our introductory module. Through hands-on design projects and laboratory work, you'll develop essential practical skills that all engineers need, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Those pursuing the MEng degree will engage with advanced coursework and undertake industry or research-based projects tackling genuine engineering challenges. Past student projects have ranged from developing record-breaking high-altitude rockets to creating solar-powered race cars.
