The Fashion Styling and Visual Merchandising curriculum forms part of the Fashion Styling pathways, with visual merchandising as its central focus. Designed to cultivate personal style and produce refined contemporary work through diverse media, it examines the crossroads of fashion, communication, and innovation. The course aims to transform the field through well-researched proposals that blend intuitive vision, strong design communication, and creative strategy.
Students gain comprehensive industry experience through both simulated environments and actual projects, developing practical abilities in fashion content organization while examining the global fashion landscape. The curriculum additionally addresses sustainable design principles and ethical considerations throughout the production process. Student work incorporates both traditional and digital formats, backed by thorough research methodologies.
Beginning in Level 5 Term 2, this pathway merges creative talents with business knowledge to develop innovative fashion solutions. It teaches fundamental display techniques, styling methods, outfit construction, and look development to captivate fashion audiences and drive sales. Subjects include retail space planning, lighting design, visual presentations, graphic elements, and complete store environments, along with layout functionality, fixture selection, mannequin usage, and installation design.
Digital and graphic design skills are incorporated to strengthen visual communication, while business strategy comprehension helps students present professional concepts. The program examines fashion's evolving landscape across physical and digital platforms, investigating retail strategies, buying roles, brand communication, and emerging consumer trends through omnichannel analysis. It culminates in independent research and development of a final concept showcased in digital portfolio format.

- Scottish Qualification with three Higher at grade B
