We are an innovative, interdisciplinary research center dedicated to advancing excellence in our four core research areas: Biomedical Engineering, Digital and Computational Engineering, Energy Conversion and Harvesting, and Multiphase Flow. Our research frequently involves close collaborations with industry partners across various sectors, leveraging our collective expertise to explore emerging opportunities.
We provide an inspiring academic atmosphere for both study and research, with a vibrant community comprising over 30 faculty members and approximately 100 postgraduate students and research personnel. Our state-of-the-art laboratory and workshop facilities support cutting-edge investigations, while our researchers participate in significant projects throughout Scotland, the UK, and globally. Notably, we are at the forefront of energy research among UK institutions through our Energy Academy, which unites all energy-focused research initiatives within the University.
