The Institute of Chemical Sciences (ICS) conducts investigations spanning diverse chemistry fields, encompassing both foundational research and practical interdisciplinary projects addressing modern societal issues. Our varied scientific pursuits involve creating organic and biologically-active substances, inorganic and organometallic compounds, along with supramolecular structures, while also developing innovative polymeric, inorganic, composite, and hybrid materials for technological uses. We examine interfacial behaviors important for catalysis and environmental studies while pioneering new spectroscopic methods to analyze these processes.
Computer simulations support much of our experimental work by explaining and forecasting molecular and extended system characteristics. ICS's specialized knowledge consequently connects closely with biomolecular and materials science, as well as energy and life science industries.
