Our MA Social Work program, developed in collaboration with the Cheshire & Merseyside Social Work Teaching Partnership, integrates insights from social care, health, education, and related fields. Our SWE-approved program enables graduates to apply for professional registration.
Career opportunities
After completing our Social Work Masters, you'll qualify for SWE registration. Our close ties with employers and partners who help deliver the curriculum ensure you're practice-ready upon graduation. Notably, 100% of our social work graduates secure employment or continue studies within 15 months (Graduate Outcomes 2019/20).
Post-graduation, you'll have diverse career options across social work specialties. Opportunities span child services, adult care, and community work in statutory, voluntary, private, and charitable organizations worldwide. You might specialize immediately or explore different practice areas - perhaps beginning in child protection before transitioning to adult services, disability support, or social justice initiatives.
