Qualification Requirements

To be admitted to the MSc programme in Civil Engineering, you need the equivalent of a UK Honours degree to at least an upper second class standard (2:1). This should normally be in an appropriate Engineering or Engineering-related subject including modules in Geotechnics, Structural Engineering, Mathematics for Engineers or Scientists, Fluid Mechanics and coding/computer programming . Although in some instances we can consider industrial or other relevant experience if you have a different first degree. Students need to have: IELTS: 6.5 with no component under 6.0; TOEFL iBT: 92 (no component under 23); 176 (minimum of 169 per component) in Cambridge Scale (CPE or CAE; Pearson Academic (PTE): 62 (with no less than 56 in each Communicative Skill).
