This program equips you with the essential knowledge and abilities to enter engineering teams upon completing your studies. It serves as an alternative to Durham's four-year MEng, with the option to transfer between these courses until the conclusion of your second year.
During the initial two years, the BEng provides the same comprehensive engineering foundation as the MEng program. Your third year focuses specifically on Electrical Engineering. The curriculum offers significant flexibility - you might begin with mechanical engineering but switch to electrical engineering after your second year. We prioritize giving students the autonomy to make well-informed choices. The BEng sets you up for a dynamic career in contemporary engineering, with the adaptability to evolve alongside technological advancements.
Opportunities may include studying abroad or completing an industrial placement as an additional year between your second and third years. A standout feature is the final-year Engineering Project, where you'll collaborate individually with an academic specialist to tackle a complex engineering problem.
