The BA (Hons) Classical Civilisation programme provides a comprehensive examination of ancient Greek and Roman societies and their lasting cultural significance. You'll have the flexibility to specialise in specific areas of interest throughout your studies.
While knowledge of Greek or Latin isn't mandatory, the course offers opportunities to learn these classical languages if desired.
Your studies will encompass multiple aspects of Greco-Roman civilisation. The curriculum addresses the challenges of interpreting ancient texts for modern audiences while offering diverse modules covering literature, art, history, philosophy, and archaeology from these influential cultures.
