DMU's History curriculum stands out for its global perspective and creative approach, featuring both year-long and semester-based modules that enable students to expand their knowledge while encountering diverse teaching styles, course formats, and evaluation methods. Whether your interests lie in British, South Asian, European, or American history, our program provides comprehensive coverage. We take particular pride in offering specialized study areas rarely found in UK history degrees, such as photographic history, sports and leisure history, scientific history, migration studies, ethnicity and racism studies, and career-focused historical applications. Our faculty's expertise spans regions including South Asia, the Balkans, Central America, and Southeast Asia. DMU also offers combined degree options, allowing you to pursue History alongside Politics or International Relations through our joint honors program, with equal course distribution between disciplines.
