Faith and Peaceful Relations (FPR) studies religious influences to foster peace and advance social justice. At FPR, we investigate the significant yet frequently overlooked impacts of religious and secular beliefs on societal fairness and inequality. We seek to address both theoretical and real-world inquiries to thoughtfully analyze how spiritual practices and convictions function in modern communities.
As expressed by FPR team members: To conduct and support scholarly research on connections between religion (or belief systems) and peaceful coexistence. (Lucy Peacock) Our mission is helping individuals of all faiths and philosophies contemplate nonviolent cohabitation. (Laura Payne) We pursue research that enlightens society, bridges gaps between faith and community, and fosters mutual understanding among diverse belief systems to cultivate global harmony.
