A specialized teacher training program designed for aspiring educators teaching overseas in junior, preparatory, and senior schools.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Education program is specially crafted for teaching candidates employed at international schools (covering junior, preparatory, and senior levels). This program aligns with England's national Teachers Standards and, upon successful completion, may substantially shorten the pathway to achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) later. QTS serves as the official certification required to teach in England's state-funded schools.

This PGCE program follows a school-based approach, allowing participants to study while working as trainee teachers, teaching assistants, or learning assistants under the guidance of both school mentors and university tutors. It blends the convenience of online education with hands-on classroom experience, offering relevant academic support to enhance your school-based work. While entirely online study is an option, participants may also attend up to six days of in-person sessions at the university.

With its strong practical focus, the course operates on the principle that effective classroom skills are best developed through real-world teaching. Rooted in practical educational research, it delivers proven teaching methods aimed at helping graduates become outstanding educators upon completion.
