A sample academic year could include a journey to Lake Geneva to study how the unusual climate of 1816 influenced the writings of Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley, and Lord Byron. Students may also undertake detailed investigations into literature's role in mobilizing protest movements following environmental crises like India's Bhopal tragedy.
