Our Biomedical Science program combines multiple biological fields to explore human physiology and disease mechanisms. As essential healthcare professionals, biomedical scientists contribute significantly to disease diagnosis, treatment development, and therapeutic innovation while overseeing patient care.
You'll acquire hands-on training in our cutting-edge Alison Gingell Building laboratories, mastering essential techniques for scientific research. The curriculum examines human health and illness at all levels, from complete biological systems to molecular interactions. You'll study disease pathology, diagnostic methods, and treatment approaches, with focused instruction in core biomedical specialties: clinical biochemistry, microbiology, cellular pathology, blood science, immunology, and genetic studies.
