Our Cognitive Neuroscience MSc program connects three key areas: clinical, social, and cognitive neuroscience. You'll develop a solid foundation in the neuroscience behind mental health, emotional well-being, psychiatric conditions, social interactions, and human cognition.
This interdisciplinary approach spans three scientific and medical fields. Clinical neuroscience explores the neural and cognitive foundations of mental health and neurological disorders. Social neuroscience examines brain mechanisms involved in communication, emotion, learning, and interpersonal relationships. Cognitive neuroscience investigates mental processes like memory, perception, and language in both healthy individuals and clinical populations.
Your education will combine seminars, lectures, computational training, and statistical coursework, culminating in a faculty-supervised research project. Our instruction is driven by cutting-edge research and delivered by globally renowned specialists. The program further enriches your experience through guest lectures from leading professionals in neuroscience fields. You'll also have access to optional clinical and research internships that provide valuable hands-on learning.
Current clinical placements include collaborations with mental health organizations like Mind and the Light Year Foundation. Research internships occur within our Psychology Department laboratories. Independent study forms a core component, supported by our academic team. Clear assessment criteria will outline expected learning outcomes, including new competencies, knowledge, and professional perspectives you'll develop.
