City's optometry program covers comprehensive studies of vision and ocular health, including subjects like optical science, ocular biology, eye disorders, and vision correction. Students gain hands-on experience with treatments such as contact lens fitting and prescription eyewear. Clinical training takes place at our on-site facility, City Sight, where you'll assess patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, addressing diverse eye health concerns. The curriculum includes 44 weeks of practical placements to refine the competencies required for professional optometry practice.
The General Optical Council accredits this program. Graduates achieve full registration with the council upon successfully completing the four-year course.
