Medicinal Chemistry represents a specialized field where you can concentrate your academic pursuits through our Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences research programs (MPhil, MD, PhD). We strive to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for professional advancement in pharmaceutical sectors, academic institutions, or healthcare settings. Our research entails strong partnerships with virology and biochemistry experts across Europe and the United States. The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences boasts state-of-the-art resources for our team, including a Bruker 500MHz NMR spectrometer, a Fisons Platform II Mass Spectrometer (configured for electrospray and APCI), multiple Silicon Graphics workstations, and comprehensive software packages like Sybyl, Macromodel, DOCK, GRID, and Oxford Molecular Software. Our recently upgraded synthetic chemistry labs feature individual fume hoods for each researcher. The facilities include exceptional library resources and laboratory computer systems with access to numerous specialized databases.
