Drug Delivery and Microbiology represents a specialized research field available within our Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences research programs (MPhil, MD, PhD). Our objectives include investigating biological barriers and creating innovative delivery systems for therapeutics, along with studying microbial survival mechanisms, pharmaceutical contamination, and infection control in healthcare settings. Key research areas encompass: Pulmonary medication administration, Microneedle-based delivery of pharmaceuticals and biologics, Stability of total parenteral nutrition mixtures, Molecular imprinting techniques, Cellular membrane penetration, Transdermal drug absorption, Microorganism-pharmaceutical interactions, Antimicrobial action mechanisms, and Diagnostic methods for pathogens like B. anthracis and Cl. difficile.
Program durations: PhD - 3 years, MPhil - 1-2 years (full-time)
