Logistics and Operations Management represents a specialized research field available within our Business Studies PhD program. Our goal is to establish ourselves as the premier global interdisciplinary team advancing knowledge, theory, and practical applications in logistics and operations management. This department consists of four unique research clusters that collaborate on both specialized and shared research initiatives. These groups include the Lean Enterprise Research Centre, the Logistics Systems Dynamics Group, the Centre for Automotive Industry Research, and the Transport and Shipping Research Group.

Qualification Requirements
A specialist Master-level degree in Business, Management, Social Sciences or related subjects, from an internationally renowned University of comparable or higher standing than Cardiff Business School.
A minimum of 60% grades for a UK master's degree, or the equivalent grading for international degrees.
Evidence of previous research training, including attending research-focussed taught modules and submitting a research-based Master dissertation.
As part of your application process you will have to submit a research proposal demonstrating the intellectual ability to identify viable research questions and a potential to develop a valuable contribution to knowledge in your elected area.
Applicants whose first language is not English are normally expected to have reached a minimum IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with 5.5 in all subskills, or equivalent.
TOEFL (iBT) - At least 90 overall with minimum scores of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading, and 20 for speaking
International Baccalaureate (Language A) - HL 4 or SL 5
