Our MSc Conservation Practice program adopts a hands-on approach to bench conservation, guided by accredited professionals through lectures, seminars, and lab work.

This two-year conversion course is tailored for humanities and science graduates pursuing conservation careers, providing extensive hands-on experience with archaeological and historical artifacts in laboratory settings, alongside practical conservation placements.

Under expert mentorship, you'll develop advanced theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, mastering the preservation of cultural heritage through immersive lab work. You'll refine both modern and traditional conservation methods while gaining substantial experience with artifacts from the UK and worldwide. Additionally, you'll cultivate essential transferable skills in project management, problem-solving, and communication.

Led by globally recognized practitioners, our program equips you with professional-level conservation competencies for the heritage sector while laying foundations for future research.

While passion for the field is essential, our internationally acclaimed entry-level program doesn't mandate specific volunteer or internship hours. Designed as a conversion course, it welcomes applicants from humanities and science disciplines. Your application should demonstrate your sector interest and highest scientific qualification.
