The Economics and Finance program enables you to integrate core economic principles with financial studies. This curriculum highlights the strong connection between economics and finance while situating these disciplines within wider organizational, social, and political frameworks. You'll have the chance to explore specialized topics of personal interest through a balanced mix of required and elective courses, ensuring comprehensive understanding of both fields while allowing focus areas. Both subjects receive equal emphasis across the three-year degree. Through professional placements, the program equips students with essential theoretical and practical competencies for early career advancement in diverse banking and finance sectors.
Career opportunities - Our business programs develop versatile skills highly sought after by employers across private and public sectors. For the 2015/16 academic year, 92% of our School's employable graduates secured employment or continued education within six months of graduation. Beyond the University's central Career Services, students receive specialized support from our on-campus Careers and Placements team for securing internships, employment, and industry-specific career advice and training.
