Adult nursing offers a dynamic and fulfilling career path. Our NMC-accredited program equips you with the expertise to qualify as a registered nurse in three years, enabling you to positively impact lives and join tomorrow's nursing professionals. You'll care for adults across all age groups managing various health challenges, from accident injuries to chronic conditions like cancer or diabetes. By establishing trusting relationships with patients and their families, you'll enhance their quality of life in diverse circumstances. Although specializing in adult nursing from day one, our interdisciplinary approach means you'll learn alongside students from children's and mental health nursing programs, fostering valuable cross-disciplinary insights that enrich your specialization. You'll benefit from instruction at a Russell Group university by experienced nursing educators who are actively shaping healthcare in Wales through research and practice. Each student receives both a personal tutor for guidance and an academic assessor for professional development support. Based at the UK's third-largest university hospital (University Hospital of Wales), our program offers diverse clinical placements through partnerships with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Aneurin Bevan Health Board, exposing you to various healthcare settings across Southeast Wales. Our NMC and HCPC-recognized courses create a vibrant learning environment featuring unique interdisciplinary opportunities like shared learning, collaborative assessments, and inter-professional education rarely found elsewhere.
