Our fast-paced, digitally connected world and the relentless demands of social media have made mental health an increasingly urgent societal issue. Throughout this three-year program, you'll gain specialized knowledge to address both the physical and emotional needs of patients.
The curriculum covers essential subjects like ethical medication practices, recovery strategies, and addiction treatment methods. You'll acquire hands-on skills in de-escalation techniques, behavioral management, and protecting at-risk individuals.
On-campus training includes practicing clinical procedures such as manual blood pressure measurement and emergency response in our Clinical Simulation Suite, where we recreate complete patient care scenarios from admission through discharge.
Prospective students must show in their applications a comprehensive grasp of UK mental health nursing, including NHS core principles, NMC regulations, nursing education standards, and current challenges in the field. Demonstrating the essential attributes of a UK nursing professional is required for interview consideration. Selected candidates will participate in a virtual group interview.
