Our Media, Journalism and Culture program is designed to prepare you as an informed citizen in today's media-dominated world. The curriculum explores diverse aspects of journalism, media, culture, and communications, examining their influence on society, politics, and popular culture amid globalization and rapid social transformation. You'll develop specialized skills like research methodologies and optional journalistic techniques, alongside versatile competencies applicable across industries. This program operates on the principle that comprehending contemporary society requires understanding media and cultural industries' pivotal roles. While offering some practical modules, the focus remains academic and analytical. You'll join a vibrant intellectual community dedicated to personal growth through development programs and career initiatives, learning from internationally renowned faculty. Please note: While rigorous and scholarly, this course does not offer professional journalism training. Learning Approach Our research-driven teaching occurs in a supportive setting, with each student assigned a personal tutor from our academic staff. Those selecting practical journalism modules will engage with multimedia production techniques. Career Opportunities Graduates enjoy strong employment prospects, applying their skills in communications and PR roles. They excel at crafting targeted, effective copy and presenting compelling arguments - valuable assets in business environments. Some leverage their political and current affairs knowledge for journalism careers. As our undergraduate program doesn't provide journalistic accreditation, many students continue to our master's courses in broadcast, magazine, news, or computational journalism for practical training.
