Cardiff, a cultural hub, offers an exceptional environment for music studies in the UK. The city hosts prestigious institutions like Welsh National Opera and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The School of Music maintains valuable partnerships with these organizations, providing students opportunities to attend dress rehearsals and purchase discounted concert tickets.
Applicants should typically possess or be working toward Grade 8 proficiency in their instrument(s) or voice. Those without A-level Music may still qualify if they have (or are pursuing) Grade 7/8 Theory alongside relevant A-level subjects.
