This Master's program in Sport Rehabilitation is designed to cultivate highly skilled, practice-ready professionals with a deep critical understanding of the discipline. Through fostering independent, reflective learners who grasp professional considerations, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based approaches, the program simultaneously provides the comprehensive practical skills vital for Sport Rehabilitation careers. With an emphasis on hands-on training, students must fulfill at least 400 hours of clinical placements—a key requirement for BASRaT accreditation.
Placement options include sport rehabilitation clinics, university-affiliated teams, local sports organizations, and distant teams for those willing to travel. Students will also earn an advanced trauma care certification (Level 2), accredited by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. This BASRaT-mandated qualification enhances their expertise, benefiting both the Professional Clinical Practice module and future careers.
