These programs enable you to achieve qualified Early Years Practitioner status (EYPS), blending hands-on work experience with theoretical knowledge and policy insights, along with essential transferable skills for effective early childhood education, including managing Early Years settings. Developed in response to evolving Early Years provisions across Wales and the UK, this course prepares skilled specialists to work with young children and their families.
A core component of the degree involves completing 700 hours of assessed practical experience to earn EYPS. This includes block placements each year in diverse settings like infant classrooms, private nurseries, children's centers, and daycare facilities.
Earning this degree, which aligns with sector advancements, ensures your qualification is highly sought-after by employers. It also lays a strong foundation for careers in family support, health and social care, and community work.
