The BA(Hons) in Early Childhood Education and Care equips you with essential skills for diverse professional settings including childcare facilities, primary schools, children's centers, healthcare institutions, social work environments, and research fields.
You'll develop comprehensive knowledge of early childhood development (birth to age five) while studying educational principles, sociology, psychology, health policies, and social policies, along with the influence of family structures and societal institutions.
To enhance your employability, the program includes two practical placements where you'll acquire valuable hands-on experience and develop employer-sought competencies. Additionally, observational visits to various early years environments will broaden your sector awareness.
Upon successful completion (including placements and required literacy/numeracy qualifications), you'll qualify as a Level 3 early years practitioner. Graduates also receive guaranteed interviews for our postgraduate teaching programs if pursuing an education career.
