Embark on a Music Production degree at Canterbury Christ Church University. This hands-on course is designed for aspiring producers, composers and creative technologists who want to make ground-breaking music across digital and live environments.
Get ready with a foundation year and learn the foundational skills and knowledge to complete a full Honours degree. You'll be able to embark on this qualification without meeting the level 3 entry requirements, giving you the opportunity to study at degree level through this four year course.
What you'll learn
You’ll learn in our specialist creative arts building, using professional recording studios, mixing suites, rehearsal spaces, and Apple Mac labs.
You’ll work with industry-standard tools to produce music to a professional level, supported by tutors who are active musicians, recognised producers, songwriters, composers, and performers. A key element of Music Production at CCCU is its focus on developing you into an entrepreneurial, career-ready graduate by covering ethical and legal themes.
You’ll explore how music production translates across different contexts, from live performance and club settings to galleries, games, mobile platforms, and digital releases. You’ll build strong technical and creative foundations while developing your own production style, as well as the ability to reflect and evaluate your practice.
Collaboration is central to the course. You’ll work alongside students from areas such as Games Design and Popular Music. By the time you graduate, you’ll have the confidence, skills, and portfolio needed to progress in the creative industries.
