Earning a PhD requires investigating an approved subject and defending a written dissertation during an oral defense. Your research must offer new insights to the field or creatively apply existing knowledge. The dissertation, limited to 80,000 words, should showcase thorough understanding and analytical engagement with the subject area.

BNU invites candidates to pursue research degrees in diverse fields such as: Nursing, health and wellness, Creative arts, design, performance and environmental studies, Business administration, Management, Aviation and Security, as well as Higher Education studies.

We provide two research degree options: the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). While both programs are completed at BNU, Staffordshire University confers the degrees. As a research candidate, you'll be registered with Staffordshire University while also being enrolled at BNU, which oversees your academic guidance and support services.
