Civil engineers plan, build, and maintain elements of both natural and constructed environments. Pursuing a career in civil engineering involves tackling current community challenges while preparing for future ones. To prepare you for this vital role, Brunel's team has created a program that stimulates your innovative thinking. Our curriculum fosters your growth as an independent learner while providing essential skills for thriving in diverse engineering teams. Starting from your first week, you'll experience our distinctive cross-disciplinary learning method. During Year 1, you'll collaborate with students from various engineering fields in our shared Engineering program. Year 2 focuses on building your fundamental civil engineering expertise in areas such as material science, structural analysis, hydraulics, surveying, and others. By Year 3, you can continue with the general civil engineering track or select a specialized pathway in either "Environmental Engineering" or "Flood and Coastal Engineering." The final year features advanced coursework aligned with your chosen specialization.

This program holds accreditation from the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), which includes major engineering institutions, certifying that it fully meets the educational requirements for Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status and partially fulfills the criteria for Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation.
