The BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying program equips you with essential expertise to pursue a career as a professional quantity surveyor. These specialists offer construction industry clients crucial financial, contractual, and technical guidance to maximize value in their investments and building projects. The curriculum begins with core construction principles before advancing to quantity surveying techniques, including cost management and legal aspects of projects. This career-oriented degree develops the technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and management competencies required for professional practice, covering all phases from design to construction. Your role may span strategic business advice, collaboration with architects and design teams, to supervising on-site construction through project completion. Career opportunities include positions as Architects, Chartered Architectural Technologists, Planning Officers, Surveyors, and various Construction specialists.
Year 1 Standard entry requirements - Highers ABBB. A-Levels BCC – BBB. Int. Baccalaureate 28 points. BTEC MMM (in relevant subject). HNC C in graded unit (in a relevant subject area). Please check that you meet our University-wide National 5/GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths requirements. Year 1 Minimum entry requirements - Highers BBBC. A-Levels BCC - BBB. Year 2 - Advanced Highers BC plus ABBB at Higher. A-Levels BBB. Int. Baccalaureate 33 points. HNC B in graded unit (in a relevant subject area). HND BC in graded units (in a relevant subject area). BTEC DMM (in relevant subject). Global College Successful completion of our Engineering with Accelerator Programme. Year 3 - HND BB in graded units (in a relevant subject area). The minimum English language requirement for entry to this programme is IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with no score lower than 5.5. TOEFL iBT - 79 (including reading 18, listening 17, speaking 20, and writing 21).
