International relations examines the political dynamics between nations and their interactions. This course begins by exploring the development of international relations theory, including its connections to challenges like anarchy, sovereignty, order, justice, and potential resolutions. Early in the program, you'll select one of two focus areas: International Security, which delves into key concepts, models, and policy matters, or International Political Economy, covering subjects such as globalization, financial liberalization, and economic development.
As your expertise and analytical abilities in international relations expand, you'll pick two more elective modules from offerings like democracy studies, migration law, post-war global issues, Middle Eastern security, and geopolitical analysis. The program culminates with an independent research project, mentored by a dissertation advisor.
