Our Faculty of Media & Communication provides diverse research opportunities spanning multiple disciplines, including law, computer animation, media production, history, politics, English, communication, and journalism. The two-year Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program serves as an ideal foundation for PhD studies, granting students access to specialized expertise and resources across various media and communications fields, including legal studies. The faculty encompasses seven dedicated research centers: the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP), the Narrative, Culture and Community Research Centre, the Centre for Comparative Politics and Media Research, the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM), the Experimental Media Research Centre (EMERGE), the National Research Centre for Computer Animation, and the Centre for the Study of Conflict, Emotion and Social Justice. Our research approach aligns with Bournemouth University's 2025 vision, emphasizing tangible real-world impact, societal and economic enrichment, and pioneering knowledge to address global challenges.
