This program explores the natural, social, economic, and political forces shaping our dynamic planet, equipping you with strategies for sustainable environmental management and conflict resolution. Led by a distinguished team of professors, researchers, and visiting experts, the curriculum includes specialized modules like Marine Geography, Earth & Society, and Climate & Environmental Change. Hands-on learning occurs in diverse field locations such as the Jurassic Coast UNESCO site, Isle of Wight, and New Forest. Students can participate in faculty-led international research initiatives, with previous projects focusing on wildlife conservation in China and climate adaptation for Nepalese agricultural communities. The interdisciplinary nature of human and physical geography allows for personalized academic pathways through elective modules starting in the second year.
