The Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (APD) operates at a post-master's level, perfect for accomplished postgraduate performers holding a Master's degree who are starting to secure professional work. You can complete it full-time in 12 months (September-September) or part-time over 2 years.
The Professional Performance APD enables you to undertake performance opportunities both at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and beyond as part of your studies. Evaluation centers on your professional work through a Professional Performance Portfolio module and optional External Engagement or Professional Project modules. Additionally, our Career Management and Self-Promotion module addresses crucial non-performance elements of your professional development.
For UK and EU students, part-time study is available, letting you balance the course with your growing career. Assessments concentrate on your professional work in both Conservatoire and external settings, complemented by our Career Management module that tackles essential non-performance career aspects.
