The School of Education and Social Work stands as a premier institution for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in the West Midlands, maintaining robust collaborations with numerous secondary schools. Within the School of Health Sciences, the Department of Sport and Exercise is dedicated to achieving excellence in all its endeavors, spanning sport and exercise science, sports therapy, physiotherapy, and physical education. This program prepares you to teach Physical Education to secondary students (ages 11-16) and includes additional training for post-16 education.

GCSE- 5 GCSE's English Language, Mathematics and Science at grade C/4 or above
Equivalent level 2 qualifications can be accepted, list of equivalencies can be found here
Must have been achieved at the point of enrolment
International Baccalaureate - Obtain a minimum of 28 points overall with grade 4 or above in at least one Higher Level subject from Group 4
For students who do not already hold a GCSE in Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above grade 5 in Maths (Standard Level) from the IB Diploma will be accepted
For students who do not already hold a GCSE in English Language at Grade C/4 or above Standard Level English Language (not literature) English A - Grade 4 or above or English B - Grade 5 from the IB will be accepted
