The School of Education and Social Work stands as a premier institution for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in the West Midlands, maintaining robust collaborations with numerous secondary schools. Situated in the vibrant core of the West Midlands, students acquire hands-on experience in diverse educational settings marked by cultural richness, varied languages, different faiths, and social multiplicity. Within the School of Health Sciences, the Department of Sport and Exercise is dedicated to achieving excellence in all its endeavors, spanning sport and exercise science, sports therapy, physiotherapy, and physical education. Students will appreciate the dynamic, practice-oriented learning atmosphere we foster, along with the extensive opportunities provided. This program prepares you to teach Physical Education to secondary students (ages 11-16) and includes additional training for post-16 education.
