Our BA Archaeology program offers a comprehensive exploration across time and regions, covering subjects from early human development and ancient history to Greek art, as well as the Roman Middle East through to medieval Italy.
By studying archaeology, you'll gain insights into how past societies lived, thought, and interacted with their surroundings. The curriculum provides diverse elective courses spanning prehistoric, classical, and medieval eras, with geographical coverage from Britain to the Near East.
You'll master core archaeological analysis methods, building expertise in connecting theoretical frameworks with practical evidence interpretation. Hands-on fieldwork forms a crucial component, allowing you to learn using archival materials, artifact collections, and professional excavation techniques - including collaborative projects with Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) experts at the Thames through Time field school.
