The Doctor of Philosophy degree is granted to individuals who have thoroughly examined and assessed an authorized subject, thereby creating a unique and autonomous addition to existing knowledge. Their work must feature a substantial research, creative, or analytical element that is, either wholly or partially, suitable for publication. Candidates are also required to exhibit proficiency in research methodologies relevant to their chosen discipline. We will require copies of any of your previous degree certificates, such as BA, MA, MSc. However, we do not need to see documents relating to GCSEs, A-levels, Higher, or Advanced Higher.
We will also need transcripts of your results officially issued from the awarding body.
Please include a sample of your writing work (for example, this may be your MA dissertation, or any other relevant coursework).
