Today's creative writing spans diverse forms—digital and print, collaborative and individual. Our extensive program covers prose fiction, young adult literature, flash fiction, poetry, scriptwriting for stage and screen, as well as life writing and memoirs.

Whatever your writing interests may be, you'll find ways to pursue them here. We offer courses on graphic novels and comics, alongside modules in live literature, creative business skills, and professional development to boost your career prospects. You'll also get chances to work on creative ventures with fellow students, both within and beyond the Creative Writing program.

The optional placement year lets you seek, apply for, and gain professional experience, typically involving one to three placements over at least nine months. Completing this module successfully will showcase your ability to obtain and maintain graduate-level employment.
