At Bath Spa University, writing is our passion and our favorite topic of discussion. In our workshops, you'll connect with lifelong friends who share your enthusiasm for immersing themselves in a world of imaginative, creative, and experimental writing.
Our distinctive campus, nestled amidst wildlife and stunning 18th-century landscapes, provides the ideal setting for creative inspiration. You might explore nature writing or uncover poetry and stories sparked by climate change and environmental concerns. Today's creative writing spans diverse forms - from digital to print, collaborative to individual. Our extensive program covers prose fiction, young adult literature, flash fiction, poetry, scriptwriting for stage and screen, as well as memoir and life writing.
Whatever your writing interests, we offer opportunities to pursue them. Choose from modules on graphic novels and comics, or explore live literature, creative enterprise, and professional development courses to advance your career. You'll also have chances to work on creative projects with fellow students, both within and beyond our Creative Writing program.

Qualification Requirements
A Level - grades BBB-BCC including a Grade B in English or a related subject.
BTEC Extended Diploma grades from Distinction Distinction Merit (DDM) to Distinction Merit Merit (DMM) in any subject. Applicants will need to demonstrate a strong interest in Creative Writing in their personal statement and may be asked to provide a piece of their own creative writing.
T Levels grade Merit preferred in a relevant subject.
International Baccalaureate a minimum of 32 points are required with a minimum of grade 5 in English at Higher Level.
IELTS 6.0 - for visa nationals, with a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 in each element.
TOEFL iBT- A total of 72, to include a minimum 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, 20 in Speaking, and 17 in Writing.
