The MGeog Geography program mirrors our BA and BSc Geography courses but includes an extra fourth year for specialization through a dissertation project in your chosen geographical field. During this final year, you'll complete a work placement to enhance essential career skills for post-graduation success. You can also pick supplementary modules with human, physical, or environmental focuses to round out your education. For the first three years, you'll have access to the same module options as the BA (L700) and BSc (F800) Geography programs, allowing you to tailor your studies toward human geography, physical geography, or interdisciplinary approaches. Fieldwork plays a central role in this degree, with ample chances to develop practical skills through local excursions and residential trips across the UK and Europe. An International Experience Year option also lets you study or work overseas. This program holds accreditation from the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), ensuring a robust geographical foundation that equips you for real-world challenges. Placement Year and International Experience Year options are available.
